Mathew's Collection Museum Ride,
Sept. 28, 2002
5 roadsters and a '73 240z convertible converged on the site of the
Mathews' Collection on Saturday morning. Tim & Lisa Waltz and their
two sons, Eric Frisbee and his son Robert, Les Stern, Greg Cheer and
his wife (who I must apologize to because I forgot her name), Bret
(the '73 240z owner) and Jack and Chris Davis. Judging from the
comments and the large smiles it seemed like a good time was had by
all.
After a lunch at Gunther Toody's Les, Bret, Eric & Robert, Chris,
and Jack headed over to Coors Field to watch Dan Neff and Tom Hoagland
run their roadsters in the Solo II event. By the time we arrived Gary
Boone and his co-driver Joe Rupinski had already taken First and
Second place in the CSP class. Dan and Tom posted their best time of
the day on their last run. I do not have the official times but they
will soon be posted on www.rmsolo.org under RESULTS. Both Dan and Tom
had large grins on their faces so I think they were having a good
time. I also heard Dan asking Gary "Ok, what can I do to go FASTER!!"
Since the mystery gold-plated bumpers have never appeared for the
acting WyCROC President, Jack Davis was awarded a Gold Painted EI
distributor from Gary Boone at the autocross! Nice job Gary, and way
to go Jack!!
Pictures will be up when they arrive!
