Halloween Ride and Picnic 31-Oct-99
Once again a beautiful top-down day! Our Halloween ride had only 4 Roadsters
in attendance, with rumors of at least one 'member' bagging out on us because
he'd winterized his car!! Plans for a workshop on how to 'winterize' your car
are now in the works (winterizing does NOT mean putting it away until Spring,
Greg, it means putting the top up and using 10w40 instead of 20w50!!).
We met in Wheatridge, Colorado, and Gary Lasater's trusty 1500 led the way up
to Central City. Being a popular gambling town, we had ample opportunity to
show off to the pedestrians as we paraded through town. We then headed up to a
nearby campground where Eric and company cooked up tasty brats and
hotdogs.
This time around, Mark McCafferty joined us with his gorgeous red '67 2000.
Dan's oxidized-silver 2000 looked WAY out of place next to THREE red (let
alone shiny) roadsters!!
Alas, this trip was a bit brief, as we had to head back down to town in time
for our youngsters trick or treating.
