Ft.Morgan Fall Festival, 17-Sep-05
Another great day in the friend and fun town of Ft. Morgan was had on
Saturday September 17th, during the Town's 5th annual Fall Festival.
They had over 250 cars of all types show up. The WyCROCer's showed in
nice representation (don't know the numbers) but with 7 cars there
(and only total production run of less than 40,000 for all years), we
kicked butt. Gary Lasater showed up with 3 of his roadsters, the '63
1500, the 69/70 2000, and the 70 1600 (which towed the 1500 from
Parker). Jim McGinnis has his gorgeous Corvette Orange '70 1600, and
Joe Wolf's dark blue '67 1600 is looking great too. Bob Bragg had his
white '68 2000, and his daughter and son-in-law's, Emily and Andy
Achziger, drove their red '70 1600 over from Ft. Collins.
A beautiful day walking around checking out the cars, talking shop,
and virtually everyone in the club won a door prize during the event.
Around 4 PM, everyone rallied over to Bob's house for a great meal
prepared by his wonderful wife. About 5 PM John Over arrived (with
his Z car - yeah the roadster is still ailing after a high RPM shift
at the races). Everyone talked about getting together for a Meet and
Eat strategy session early next year planning out the 2006 events.
Bob opened his Datsun Barn to the group for parts pickin' and ooh and
awing at his collection. Eric Frisbee, eat your heart out, Bob has
club record for number of cars.
