Autocross 11-Aug-2002
Well, this barely counts as a WyCROC Ride, but we DID have 5 roadsters
at the Pikes Peak Sports Car Club autocross in Monument. Seven owners
were there, 3 of which raced! This particular autocross was notable in
that your friendly web master (Dan Neff) autocrossed for the first
time, and took a little literary license to add all this to the Past
Rides page :) . Many thanks to Gary Boone for coaching first timers
Tom and Dan. Thanks to Jack Davis for stoking Tom and Dan up at the
7/14 autocross, and being our Roadie on 8/11; keeping drinks, towels,
jackets in reach while we were lined up. Unfortunately, no photo's
were available at press time of the WyCROC cheerleaders - the Eric
Frisbee clan, Mike Koken, Bonnie Neff and Karen Hoagland.
Gary Boone with Tom Hoagland taking
notes:

Left to Right: Bonnie?, Eric Frisbee, Dan Neff, Tom Hoagland,
Gary Boone

Dan Neff (note stock suspension vs. Gary's above. And NO, that's not
because Gary was going slower!)

Tom Hoagland with Gary Boone holding on for dear life:

Note Jack and Dan illustrating the difference between a Decorative
Rollbar vs. a Safety
Device as a function of occupant size.
